Overview

The town of Ashford lies on the River Great Stour, very close to the M20 motorway and is an eclectic mix where traditional market town meets the vibrancy of a modern international gateway. The town centre with its historic buildings, tree-lined walkways, floral displays and street entertainment, mixes easily with Ashford's international Euro star station, busy street cafés and excellent modern shopping facilities.

Leisure and Retail

For shoppers, Ashford has two modern shopping centres - County Square and Park Mall, which stand alongside interesting specialist shops housed in mediaeval and Tudor timber-framed buildings. A new extension to County Square opened in the Spring 2008 and a regular shuttle bus service takes visitors to and from the nearby McArthurGlen Designer Outlet.
