Overview

Maidstone, the county town of Kent, is in the heart of the 'Garden of England', with a countryside of fruit orchards, towns and villages with a wealth of historic buildings and memories. Maidstone is situated halfway between Dover and London, served by motorways M25 and M2.

Leisure and Retail

Maidstone now a heart of commerce, once a market town, still has an open market at Lockmeadow on Tuesday and Saturday. The Chequers Centre, offers covered shopping with easy parking and compliments the local street shops catering from departmental stores to local shops and services.

The biggest addition to the shopping experience is the new and modern Fremlins Walk which features several of the larger stores as well as the kind of stores you might find in the streets of London.
