Situated in the maritime region of Kent, Swale is well located with easy access to both M20 and M2 motorways. Swale is approximately one hour away from the ferry ports of Dover, Ramsgate and Folkestone, and the Channel Tunnel terminus at Folkestone. The three main towns of Faversham, Sittingbourne and Sheerness on the Isle of Sheppey are all served by a direct rail service.

Aviation, maritime, heritage, marshland, rural and royal connections are just a few of the surprising dynamics that make up Swale.

Leisure and Retail

Most British high street retailers have branches in Sittingbourne, Faversham and Sheerness alongside smaller independent shops. But unique to Swale is Macknade on the A2 near Faversham which probably has the best selection of fruit, vegetables and delicatessen lines in the south of England.
